The City of Canton is requesting proposals for an independent contractor to serve as Animal Control Officer on an on-call, as needed basis. The successful candidate will provide humane animal control services to the community including: enforcing state and local laws, rescuing sick or injured animals of all species, relocating nuisance animals, and housing and caring for unidentified domestic animals taken into custody. Applicants should submit a letter of interest and pay proposal to the City Clerk at 106 N Main St, Canton, MN 55922 or clerk@cantonmn.com by August 6, 2021. Proposals will be considered until a qualified candidate is selected.
